Rolling Meadows Water Corporation is a small locally owned and operated Water Utility that provides metered potable water service to six communities within Ulster and Dutchess counties. A brief description of our past and the communities we service are as follows:
Rolling Meadows, Hurley, NY
The original Rolling Meadows Water System / Housing subdivision, was established in 1956. It has grown to 158 customers currently. In the mid 1960’s a piping interconnection was made with the adjacent Elmendorf Water Co. to increase water supplies during a severe drought at that time.
Elmendorf Tract, Hurley, NY
The Elmendorf Water Co. (started in the 1940’s) was acquired by Rolling Meadows Water Corp. in 1974. The two systems had already been interlinked. Currently there are 159 customers within the Elmendorf area.
Leewood Knolls, Hurley, NY
The Leewood Knolls Water Co. was acquired in 1975 and currently serves 41 customers in the Altamont Drive area of Hurley near Riverside Park.
High Ridge, Marbletown NY

Village of Old Hurley, NY
The Hurley Water Co. (in service prior to 1917) was acquired by Rolling Meadows Water Corp. in 1987. Shortly after a piping interconnection was made with the adjacent Rolling Meadows and Elmendorf systems in 1988. Currently there are 474 customers with the Old Hurley area.
To date, three of the systems, Hurley, Elmendorf and Rolling Meadows, have been interconnected. The remaining three systems all operate independently due to their distance from the others.
In all, Rolling Meadows Water Corp. has approximately 1,062 customers (99% residential) and employees three full time staff members along with multiple independent contractors that assist with various repairs and system maintenance. We believe in keeping money in our community and use local workers and suppliers whenever possible. All Rates and Regulations are governed by the New York State Public Service Commission. We operate strictly under the rules of Subpart 5-4 of the New York State Health Code as overseen by the local Ulster County Department of Health.
